From 2019-20, Jason worked with the Lincoln Motor Company to compose, produce, and perform original music for the 2020 Aviator vehicle. In the new Aviator, all driver alerts such as unfastened seatbelt sounds and open fuel door reminders were replaced with soothing chimes recorded live by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to create a more luxurious driving experience.
Lincoln tasked Jason with the question, “If the Aviator was a piece of music, what would it sound like?” Inspired by the sounds of the chimes, Jason composed a hybrid orchestral/cinematic piece called, “Taking Flight” as well as several additional cues that he then performed live on a national Aviator promotional tour.
